Teacher Appreciation Day started in 1953 when Eleanor Roosevelt convinced congress to create a national day to celebrate teachers. In 1984, it was extended to #TeacherAppreciationWeek and has been celebrated starting on the first Tuesday in May ever since. This year, we’re able to show our appreciation in a new way thanks to The Rosen Centre.
